Romeoville’s New Premium Sports Bar, Banquet Facility and Restaurant has arrived! The 1985 Super Bowl Champion Steve McMichael and long time Romeoville restaurant owner, Stavros Spandonidis have teamed-up to open Mongo McMichael’s, a Bears-themed restaurant/sports bar. The completely remodeled sports bar is any Bear Fan’s Nirvana, but all Chicago sports are well represented. The walls are covered with Bears, Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, and Blackhawks photos and paraphernalia. The huge game room has pool tables, dart boards and flat screen TV’s to keep an eye on your teams as you relax with your own game. The down stairs features a huge banquet facility with room for 140 people!
Steve “Mongo” McMichael started with the Bears in 1981 as a defensive tackle. He was part of the beloved 1985 Super Bowl Champion Bears and went on to play for another 9 years before retiring in 1994. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2010 and is the current coach of the Chicago Slaughter of the Indoor Football League. Stavros Spandonidis has been a Romeoville business man for over 40 years.
